Visa Exemptions

Citizens of the following countries DO NOT require entry visas to enter Trinidad and Tobago for vacation purposes for stays not exceeding 90 days: (Exceptions are the countries listed in Red)

8.       Seamen and airline crew, regardless of nationality, arriving in T&T to join their ships, or are in transit to meet their airline for a return trip  

9.       Holders of Diplomatic Passports are not automatically exempted from visa restrictions.  

10. Citizens of the following countries DO NOT require entry visas to enter Trinidad and Tobago for vacation purposes for stays not exceeding 1 month

 All other nationalities require visas to enter Trinidad and Tobago. 

Citizens of the following countries must be in possession of entry visas to enter Trinidad and Tobago and shall not be eligible for waiver of entry visas:  

·         Cuba

·         Peoples Republic of China

·         Macedonia

·         Vietnam

·         Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea)

 

Holders of UN passports do require visas.

 

If in doubt, contact your nearest Trinidad and Tobago Embassy, Consulate or Diplomatic Mission.

If you are traveling to T&T for employment, adoption, study or immigration please contact your local T&T consulate or embassy.

 

 

Visa Application Requirements

 

The following document will be required:

·         Completed Visa Application Form (Download Here)

·         Valid Passport or Travel Document valid for 3 months longer than your intended stay

·         One passport-size photograph. (full front view of face)

·         Reason for visit to Trinidad and Tobago

·         Letter of invitation from host in Trinidad and Tobago or a letter from a business company, as applicable

·         Proper Local Address or evidence of hotel booking

·         Sufficient funds for upkeep during stay

·         Proof of Valid Return Ticket.

·         Visa Application Fee

 

 

Visa Application Fees

 

Visa application fee (per entry)  – TT $50.00, £8.50, US $15 or as stipulated by the issuing authority at the Foreign Mission.

 

 

Time required to issue visa
 
Tourist visas will normally be issued within 10 working days.

Applications from the following nationals may take up to 4 weeks: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Cuba, Macedonia, Korea (Dem Rep), Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, and Vietnam.

 

How long is the visa valid for?
 
90 days.
 


How do I apply?
 

Enquire at nearest Embassy or High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago to get up to date information on whether or nor you need a visa and for what documentation you may require. If there is no Trinidad and Tobago Office located near to you, an application may be made to a British Embassy or Consulate in a non-Commonwealth country.
